Sekine’s Vision for a Sustainable Future

Contributing to a Circular Economy
Through Renewable Energy From Pig Farming

In collaboration with pig farmers, Sekine promotes biogas power generation using methane gas produced by fermenting livestock waste such as pig manure and urine. The sludge remaining after methane fermentation is converted into compost and reused in agriculture

By reducing reliance on fossil fuels and generating clean energy from pig farming, Sekine contributes to the development of a circular society. Our commitment to sustainability drives us toward a brighter future for the global environment.

Biogas Power Generation

The Fukaya Plant, located adjacent to the farm, consists of eight key facilities, including a digestater tank, fermentation tank, liquid storage tank, solid-liquid separator, and biogas generator. The biogas power output is approximately 450 kW, which is equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 1,000 households.(Not for sale as it is part of our in-house power generation system.)
